Myriam Mariani

Professor, Department of Management and Technology, Bocconi University

Myriam Mariani is a professor of applied economics at Bocconi University, where she is also the director of the MSc EMIT (Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology). She is associate program chair of the Knowledge and Innovation Division of SMS. Her work focuses on inventors’ job motivations, behavior and knowledge transmission. Her most recent research studies why there are so few women in innovation, and it investigates the processes through which they select in and out from the inventive profession. Myriam’s research appeared in Management Science, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Research Policy and the Review of Economics and Statistics.
