Paper submission deadline: July 15th, 2021
This workshop brings together top scholars from European and UK institutions whose research focuses on strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It provides a venue to present work in development and receive constructive feedback from leading scholars in the field, including several members of editorial boards of journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Research Policy, and Industrial and Corporate Change, among others. Several papers presented in the past workshops have later been published in these outlets. Both junior and senior scholars are encouraged to participate.
We are looking for about six to eight papers of great potential. Each paper will have about 45 minutes for presentation and discussion. All participants are expected to read the papers and contribute to the discussion. The submitted papers should contribute to one or more of the following broad areas: strategy, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Since the aim of this developmental workshop is to help prepare articles for submission to top journals, papers must not already be already published or forthcoming. Preference will be given to papers by junior faculty.
The deadline for the submission of papers is July 15th, 2021. Please use the link below to submit your paper. A selection committee will blind review all submissions and rank all papers. The top-scoring papers will be selected for inclusion in the program. No feedback will be provided at this stage. We aim to inform authors of accepted papers by early September.
The hosting institution will arrange and pay for flights (economy) and two night's stay for all invited speakers. There is no registration fee for the workshop.

Doctoral Consortium
Student nomination deadline: July 15th, 2021
The SEI Doctoral Consortium provides doctoral students at European and UK Universities with a unique opportunity to present their dissertation-stage research to, and receive developmental feedback from, leading strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship scholars, including the editors of many of the top journals in the field. Ample opportunities for informal mentoring and networking will be provided outside the formal student presentations, including coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners. Participants in the Consortium join a supportive community of alumni.
Nominations should be made by a faculty member (rather than the student nominated) and should be coordinated at the institution level. The deadline for nominating students is July 15th, 2021. Since the Consortium is designed to help students develop their research, we prefer nominees whose research is beyond the thesis proposal stage. All nominees will be evaluated by a selection committee and 15-20 Ph.D. students will be invited to attend. Priority will be given to students who have not presented at the previous SEI consortiums and to students whose thesis advisor commits to participate in the event. The workshop hotel is Hotel Sant Cugat, Cèsar Martinell, 2, 08172 - Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona. The hosting institution will arrange and pay for flights (economy) and two night's stay for all invited speakers and Ph.D. students.
COVID
We aim to host the event on-campus, provided that this is feasible given the restrictions imposed by the Spanish government and local authorities. We would offer the option to attend virtually to those who are unable to travel. If we are unable to host the event on-campus, the event will be hosted virtually for everyone.
