Elena Novelli

Professor of Strategy at the Bayes Business School, City University of London

Elena Novelli a PhD in Management from Bocconi University. Her conceptual and empirical research explores how firms and individuals capture value from knowledge and innovation. Her work has been published in academic journals including Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Organization Science, Research Policy, Strategy Science and the Journal of Management, and has received multiple grants and awards including the 2019 UK BEIS Business Basics Grant (£387,000), the 2013 UK Economic and Social Research Council Future Research Leaders grant (£212,000), the 2015 Strategic Management Society Best Paper IG Knowledge and Innovation Award, and the 2013 SIIE.EBS/Mikroforum Innovation Management Best Paper Award. Her PhD dissertation was selected as a Finalist for the Academy of Management BPS Best Dissertation Award and for the DRUID dissertation award. She is a member of the Editorial Review Board of Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Strategy Science, and the Journal of Management Studies. She has been serving in the Executive Committee of the TIM and STR Divisions of the Academy of Management and she is the Past Chair of the Knowledge and Innovation IG of the Strategic Management Society.
