Denisa Mindruta
Associate Professor of Strategy at HEC Paris
Denisa Mindruta obtained her PhD in strategic management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research examines how organizations and individuals within organizations create and appropriate value through strategic partnering. A number of her projects have examined the matching process driving partnership formation, both theoretically and empirically. She has explored this phenomenon in a variety of contexts involving contractual relationships between employees, teams, firms, universities, and non-profit organizations. Denisa’s research was published in the Strategic Management Journal and the American Journal of Political Science.
Her work has been recognized with several awards and fellowships.
Denisa was a finalist for the INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Competition and for the Wiley Blackwell Dissertation Award. She obtained the AOM Technology and Innovation Management Division Best Conference Paper Award in 2008. She is also a Kauffman Foundation dissertation fellow. Denisa currently serves on the editorial review board of the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review.
